Raising Angelfish Fry from Eggs and Their growth stages

The eggs usually hatch within 48-60 hours.  But can vary on the temperature your tank is at. the higher the temperature the quicker the hatching which isn't always a good thing.   The baby angelfish fry usually start to swim around freely at 5-7 days also depending on temperature.  The stage before free swimming is referred to as the "wigglers" stage.  The Angelfish fry will start to develop anal and dorsal fins on or around day 11-13.  Also usually around 3-4 weeks will take on the appearance and finally look like little angels.

The most important thing to remember in this phase of their life is food and water changes.  Doing frequent water changes and supplying them with a good quality food is crucial if you want great growth and color from them.  Not sure what food s are good quality check some out on Amazon.com.  Their is a list of them for you their to select from, most being the best which is Omega One Food.  You can crush these flakes up and feed to the baby fry.

When going to sell your fish it's important to understand the size chart that is used to describe angelfish.  The size of coins is what is used.  For example Dime, nickel, quarter, half dollar and large size. Usually the fry are ready to breed at 6-12 months of age depending on their tank conditions.
