Angelfish Breeding Tank Setup

The perfect Setup that I find works great is a 20 gallon high aquarium.  This is great because it can house two adult angels and their fry just fine.  Their are also some other things to consider putting in the tank like.

  • Sponge Filter
  • Heater
  • Slate Rock
  • Live plant with broad leaves.
The perfect set up is 0 nitrate, 0 nitrite and of course 0 ammonia.  The tank should also be aged, the way I age my tank water is taking a hang on the back filter from another community tank and placing it on the breeding tank.  This way all the beneficial bacteria go into the tank.

I heat the tank to 78-80F and turn on the sponge filter and let it sit about 3-5 days before adding the angelfish to the breeding tank.

This will be your angelfish breeding tank for your breeding angels.
